I spent last night doing two things–1. finishing my “cheat” day with 6 slices of delicious Florio’s pizza (check them out next time you’re in San Antonio) and 3 boxes of candy, and 2. watching the NBA finals.
In the middle of my carb-induced stupor, I couldn’t help but think about how disappointing the performance of Lebron James has been throughout this series and, in particular, last night (in game 5).
The so-called “King James”, who seems to think himself the best player in basketball, showed once again why he will NEVER compare to MJ when it comes to comparing the all-time greats of the game.
Lebron shies away from failure. He doesn’t take the big risk. He doesn’t take responsibility.
Why finish what he started with the Cavs when he can join up with one of the TRUE superstars in the game (Dwayne Wade) and ride on his coattails to the championship.
Why take over a game when your injured teammate can (attempt) to shoulder the load?
Unless Lebron gets his act together, he will STILL be without an NBA title at the end of this season and will ALWAYS be a few notches below the true all-time greats of the NBA.
Michael wasn’t afraid of failure… food for thought.
Let me know what you think below. Are YOU afraid to fail?
